Merkantil Export-Import GmbH

In 2016, our company MERKANTIL Export-Import GmbH celebrated the 25th anniversary of its founding.

The company was officially registered in March 1991. The first employment contract—still in effect today with Ms. Katrin Schumann, who remains with the company—was signed on April 1, 1991.

From our headquarters in 17094 Pragsdorf, featuring sales offices, workshops, warehouses, and almost 2 hectares of exhibition grounds, a team of 20 employees has exported agricultural machinery to 72 countries worldwide.

Our continually expanding product range includes combine harvesters, tractors, forage harvesters, potato and sugar beet harvesters, and caters comprehensively to soil cultivation, seeding, and fertilisation technology. Telescopic and wheel loaders, trailers, feed mixers, and milking systems are also successfully marketed.

For the procurement of used equipment—especially large-scale, high-performance machinery and equipment aligned with the technological demands of modern agriculture—local account managers operate directly with agricultural enterprises and numerous agricultural dealers in Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia, Saxony and Brandenburg, as well as Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

At our modern sales center, seven employees manage the global listing and distribution of agricultural equipment, contract processing, and all shipping and customs procedures. In addition to German, Russian, English, and French are commonly spoken in our office. Modern communication between our account managers and the sales team ensures up-to-date, daily availability of current machine inventory.

Skilled and quality-oriented agricultural technicians work in our fully equipped workshop to inspect, refurbish, and prepare machines and components for dispatch.

A particular highlight in our company’s history is the sale and re-export of approximately 800 Kirovets tractors—models K 700A, K 701, and K 744—to Russia.

MERKANTIL is a shareholder in Agrokom Sp. z o.o., located in Sianow, Poland.

For the distribution of new machinery aimed at small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises, we have maintained longstanding, reliable partnerships with dealers and end-users.
