The following features characterize the drive system of the Linde H50T-02:
* Stepless power transmission: The VW engine drives a hydraulic pump. This pump directs the oil to the wheel motors, enabling completely stepless acceleration and deceleration. [1]

* High precision: The system responds without play and enables millimeter-precise maneuvering in confined spaces.
* No mechanical connection: The steering wheel controls a hydraulic valve (orbitrol), which directs the oil flow directly to the steering cylinders on the axle. This prevents shocks from uneven ground from being transmitted to the steering wheel.
