Chausson 611 Welcome Travel Line

Since our “new” world-travel vehicle will be finished this summer (self-converted on a 5-ton MB Sprinter light truck), it’s time for us to gradually part ways with our Chausson 611 Welcome Travel Line.

My wife and I have been the only users and have always placed great importance on having a “comfortable and cozy home on wheels.”

However, for our future journeys as retirees (South America, Africa, India, China, and beyond), the payload and front-wheel drive are no longer sufficient for our needs.

This Chausson is a very unique vehicle that has been continually optimized over the years.

Why?
- It is “habitable from both sides,” that is, it features habitation doors on both the right and left sides
- It has a rear lounge area with large windows in three directions
- It’s equipped with two double drop-down beds
- It’s fully self-sufficient, with diesel heating, a composting toilet, solar power, and two on-board batteries (one 95 Ah AGM & one 130 Ah LiFePo4), each with its own battery monitor, which can be used individually
