A TEREX machine that has been well-used and appears poorly, worked at a scrap metal yard and exhibits significant aggressive metal corrosion, including on the feeder belt. It has a nicely running CAT C4 engine, with oil and filters replaced over 300 hours ago. There is a lot of scrap metal between the moving parts. The machine is operational, but there is a lot of rust, the drivetrain is noisy, and the drive chain is rusted solid. The drivetrain could use some attention. The rear side belt has been replaced with a new one, and lubrication was adequate during the inspection. The back conveyor belt has been placed beside the front one because the machine was positioned against a wall inside. The feeder shows significant corrosion on the underside. All hydraulic functions are operational during the inspection, with no leaks or issues noted. However, the longer the machine remains in the yard, the more severe the corrosion becomes.
