Info: 100 km/h unbraked:

The situation is as follows: for an unbraked trailer, if you want to use the 100 km/h speed limit (if it is registered), a factor of 0.3 applies between the unladen weight of the towing vehicle and the permissible total weight of the trailer (the worst-case scenario). Therefore, for a 750 kg trailer, you need a towing vehicle with an unladen weight of 750 / 0.3 = 2500 kg.

If you do not have this, you can have the trailer weight reduced (TÜV inspection). If your towing vehicle, for example, has an unladen weight of 1600 kg, the trailer must be reduced accordingly to 1600 x 0.3 = 480 kg. However, you must then manage with the remaining payload with any towing vehicle and at any speed.

In addition, the permissible total weight of the trailer must not exceed the unbraked towing capacity (O2) registered in the vehicle registration document.

Note on LED lighting:

In some car models, the LED trailer lighting may not work correctly. This situation most often occurs in new car models and is caused by the low power consumption of LED technology. In order for the lights on the trailer to function correctly, the vehicle or the tow hitch must be equipped with an additional module that supports LED lighting. Lorries does not supply this module in production trailers.
